So, probably one thing you're wondering: what is this guy's style? Good question, lol. I've spent nine years refining my approach to wedding photography and about two years ago I started including photo books in all packages (type dependent on coverage). The books really have helped me refine a shooting approach which feels genuinely moment to moment. How? The books tell the story of your day (with custom layouts in modern/minimalistic fashion). I've designed so many of these now I just instinctively shoot for them. When I arrive I am immediately looking for establishing shots and lead-in details. I'm asking myself, 'what's the first image that's going to start this story?' I continue this approach throughout your entire day. It's not just about documenting events or going through the wedding photographer's checklist of important/artistic moments (dress hanging on window: check, bride walking down aisle: check, groomsmen standing in a line: check, and so on.... Instead I work very hard to capture everything. Not just the big moments, the moments in between moments, relationships, subtle emotions you didn't see, every detail imaginable so that when you receive your photos and flip through them for the first time and every time after, you will re-feel what you felt on the day; you'll be taken right back to each moment. That's my 'working style.' Aesthetically, my style has been called a lot of things: dramatic, fine-art, emotional, beautiful, modern however the word that bests describes what I strive for every time I pick up my camera is 'ethereal.'
